I just purchased the Airport Express and I am extremely pleased with the sound. I was wondering if there is any type of remote control available to use with iTunes and the Airport Express. I am using a 17" Powerbook with the Airport Express. Also can the remote be used to control my home stereo. I have a Cambridge Audio 640A amp and Denon 2900 universal player. Thanks

A Bluetooth phone (or pda) can be used to control iTunes on your powerbook. I've seen it done, but don't ask me how as my phone is decidedely lo-fi (my phone budget is inversely proportional to my hifi budget...)

For a very simple remote, you can get this as long as the laptop is in the same room:

I'm sure Apple will eventually come out with some device to be able to view and control the songs from another room but for now, this might be all you have.

That looks pretty cool. Have you used the remote? Most of the time I am listening to music I have my notebook in front of me but I may have to give this a try.

Yeah, I have one. I have flat screen monitor setup at the end of the coach and I use this for when I'm listening to my headphones. It works up to 30 feet away and you can program the buttons as well. It also has arrows so it acts like a mouse for simple web surfing. Great for shuffle play to skip tracks.

It just plugs in the USB port and load the software and you're set.

The 17" Carrier is the best remote anyway
