I use a Sony Walkman F886 as my music player. It works great.
Having Android is handy for me because I mainly use it for audiobooks and I can use the player with apps designed for audiobooks from the app store.

Okay... I've just talked to a couple of guys at to he official Sony retail stores and I've got this weird answer time and again.

They say that any MP3 player can be linked to iTunes, and that iTunes would always somehow manage to retrieve and sync the song data (e.g. no. of times played) from the MP3 player despite the difference in OS. Is this true? I doubt so.
