I'm very curious. In a review here of the MKIVSE, I read several disconcerting posts indicating some malfunctions with this unit. There were posts on the unit smoking, a resistor burning out, etc. Is this model less reliable than the MKII or MKIII? Is there a design issue? I was going to order one, but after reading all this stuff, i'm holding off for now until I decide what to do. I also wonder if there is a difference, reliability-wise, between the plain MKIV and the MKIVSE.

Would love to hear from especially long term users of the product, or anyone else with comments.

Thanks!

I have not hear about that just how some headphones were smoking in performance with the unit. I did hear about some ideas of improvements that can be made with a higher ratting for some of the resistors but have not heard of any break downs.
