A couple people over at Audiogon who have the time/money to try best AC cords available think (for now, can change next month) think these are the best overall:

Walker Omega Mikro

I have not tried them but as you can see they are fussy with active outboard power box and must he handled carefully, price range $950-1200.........a real bargain

For me they are too fussy and too expensive, but if you have to have the latest & greatest.............

Dunno 'bout the *best* since I haven't tried all the power cords out there on the market, but, I always come back to NBS.

over the years, I've been trying to find a cheaper alternative to match their top 3 lines ( Statement Exterme, Omega and Black Label ) and some came close but nothing hit the mark thus far.

BTW, no matter how much they cost they are still system dependant and thier percieved performance vary by a given listener's sonic priorities.

Although I do like generalizations it is system dependent and personal taste is important. Especially when you get up there in quality it's a matter of personal taste and synergy.

It's like hockey sticks (sort of) you've got these new sticks that are suppose to really give you an increase in the velocity of your shot but then the man with the fastest shot in hockey prefers the good old lumber.
