To those Head-Fi members interested in getting an iRiver H140 or iHP-140 player for using with a DAC.
There is an opportunity to get Refurbished iRiver H140 players on eBay. Just do a search on eBay using the following words: "iRIVER IHP140 40gb Audio Jukebox- with warranty". I don't have any affiliation with the seller.
I just bought two iHP-100 players from the seller. The players are in very good condition. Good luck!

This seller is iriver's warranty repair company (AvSense). I've heard good things about them in the past...and their ebay feedback appears solid. I just bought one, as my wife has an H120 converted to an H130 and has always wanted an H140. I'll trade her unit out with this one and sell the H130.

You are right. The box that the iRiver iHP-100 player came in was labeled: "Refurbished by AV Sense Inc". It appears that the company website is: http://www.irivershopping.com/index.php.

I got an iRiver H120/140 remote on eBay for $15. There were still some for $18 last I looked. If you're using the H140 as a home music server like me (see my sig), it's an almost essential accessory - gives you great control from a chair or bed. (iAmp theme in Rockbox works really well on the remote's LCD display.)
