I don't think I've ever seen this many models all available at the same time refurbished.
Current gen shuffles for $49 to current gen 80GB $299.
Previous gens too (first gen shuffle - some feel the best sounding iPod - $39, 30GB 5G $179, etc.).

Thought some of you may be interested.

See here.

Well, I just bought one of the 2G shuffles. May try these "wireless" setups.

so how come you chose to purchase the 2nd G over the 1st G Shuffle?

do to your post and others I purchased one of the refurbished 1st G Shuffles.

now I'm wondering if I should have purchased the 2nd G Shuffle. I like the idea that the 2nd G supports Apple Lossless and Aiff. plus I like the Mod you posted with the 2nd G clipped to a set of headphones. but I worry about the hiss and SQ.

1st G has better SQ. how much better? no hiss? it also appears to be able to work the controls easier with one hand operation. it does support WAV.

so which should I have purchased, 1st or 2nd G Shuffle?

1st and 2nd G owners, which of the two do you prefer? and why?

If you're going on sound quality, price or ease of charge and transfer, I'd get the 1st, which I had at one point. If you want smaller size, better build quality or a clip (without additional expense and bulk) get the second. For what I'd currently use the shuffle for over my full sized, I went with the second.

Almost tempted to buy an 80 gig 5G just to put the hard drive in my X5L. But then I'd have to take out the 2nd and 3rd batteries to make it fit, reducing its battery life to a paltry 14hrs. No thanks.
