This really should have been in the HD600 refurb thread, but I created a new thread because of some details I was lacking, and, well, this whole thing is an edit.

Sometime in the last 48 hours HD650 refurbs popped up on ecost.com at $230 /w $2 shipping, which either means (1) someone made a mistake or (2) we're about to see these on all the sites that carry Senn refurbs REALLY soon. I'll confirm which it is in the morning.

In either case though, this is probably the first batch of refurbs out of Senn. Anything in particular to watch out for in these? Was there some nagging problem in the first batch of HD650's these might show?

I saw this about a week or two ago along with refurbished HD580s, but they have since took the 580s down. If these 650s are available, then they'll certainly be a good deal to many people. However, they don't list the availability; which leads me to question whether they actually have refurbished 650s to sell or if they have a very limited number.

Well, normally I'd be pissed about finding this after buying a pair, but I'm more than happy with the ones I have.
And yeah, this is an awesome deal.

I doubt it's a mistake. They had refurb HD650s for ~$180 several months ago (in the "Bargain Countdown"), so it really isn't that uncommon. My wallet really can't take any more "bargains" at the moment, so I try not to visit the bargain countdown anymore.

Refurb; does that mean there are scratches and dings?

If not, I'm pulling the trigger!

Are you sure that it wasn't the HD600 and not the HD650 that was ~$180?

I belive this is inacurate and that they are $240 + $2 shipping in the continental US.
