Just got a Red Wine Audio Signature 30 used off Audiogon. This thing crushes the Audiomagus Trends TA10.1 I was using. So much more detailed its not even funny. I was using the Trends as a power amp only powered by an Audiomagus Battery Power Supply with a Channel Islands Audio VPC-1. That combo sounded awesome but I can definitely say that the Sig 30 is a SIGNIFICANTLY better component.

Okay, it costs way more so it should be. But for a while I was wondering how much better it could be. Both were battery powered Tripath amps but thats about it for the similarities. If you were thinking about upgrading, this is a no brainer. The 30.2 is supposed to be even better but costs much more. Used Sig 30's are in the $850 range which was about my limit. I'm so glad I got this thing!

Very nice equipment and should give long term satisfaction. I've got a 30.2 and have been very satisfied with it. Is it ever quiet!

Congratulations!

I have never heard the Signature 30, but am a very happy Signature 30.2 (and Isabellina) owner.

Sounds like a nice buy for $850.

Now you need a K-1000 and you're all set.

$850 is a great price.

I thought I was good with the Sig 30 but all of you 30.2 owners are making me jealous! Seriously though, I don't think I'll upgrade for a while. This is a great sounding setup! The S520's are quite nice too, although a little big for the desk. Don't have my DiCa (digital camera) with me but maybe I can borrow a friends later.

Just enjoy the Signature 30.

Upgrading to 30.2 will more or less double the cost, and may not be worth it.

The Partial Upgrade - $600.00 + return shipping
The Full-Package Upgrade - $1200.00 + return shipping
