Hey folks - I've been away from Head-Fi for some time. I just logged back on, and I've been using the forum a bunch today and the subtle redesign is awesome. Well, except for one thing. The red flag on the Galleries link is really distracting — really poor design, I think. It would be great to indicate it, but it needs to go away once you've noticed it. A red label seems to me like the universal UI sign for new message or an indication that you need to take an action. In fact, it makes me think that I have a new message or an email or something, and it's distracting and kind of stressful.
 
I won't say it's not a big deal because I think it is, but it's not ruining my life or anything. Just my experience using Head-Fi.
