I am looking for music with excellent imaging and soundstage. Music that creates a realistic sense of space. Typically these recordings are very detailed and as such include a lot of spacial cues that make it feel like you're in the room. Usually these are extremely dynamic with fewer instruments. Many are live sessions but not exclusively. Please post any genre.

It's hard to describe but here are a few examples:

Minus the Bear - Acoustics - Live album that's very simply recorded, likely in the same session. Often you can hear what the studio is like inside.

Dire Straits - Private Investigations - A fairly minimal track that is highly dynamic with distant sound effects and guitar that's recorded at a very close range.

Rush - Exit Stage Left (Live) - Xanadu is one of my favorite tracks that has unique imaging. The intro features percussion that's very immersive and spacious.

Nirvana - Unplugged in New York - Very Intimate recording, highly dynamic, yet spacious.

Agalloch- The Mantle - Just got this one, recommendation from the Metal thread. Lots of cleanly and closely recorded acoustic guitar, echoing drums, distant guitars. A nice experience.

And of course any well-recorded classical. A more mainstream example is any of the newer Star Wars score recordings. Extremely good sounding, great dynamics and details.
