OK OK, this isn't about receiving sound quality, but it is about sound quality in a portable.
I like to take samples of stuff just all over the place, and the occasional bootleg. For this currently I use a Sharp MD player/recorder with a nice little condenser mic. It works pretty well, but not great. Plus, I would prefer to move to fully digital, and not have to worry about disc media.
So, the question is:
Are there any good quality digital recorders out there with a mic input? I'm thinking of something that could take .wav files or something like that. Any suggestions?
