If you are just after and amp and will get a separate dac at some point then the Original Master amp is $190 shipped new and will slaughter any portable amp I've ever hear in it's price range - not even close. It will also scale to nicer cans and a real nice dac were you to save for one down the road - on the whole a nice upgrade path

Well, I am looking for an amp for my headphones, and the source would be from my X-FI sound card in my computer so I am assuming a Aamp/DAC combo would be good enough.

Which Original Master amp are you talking about?

If you don't plan on investing in this hobby afterwards, then an amp/dac combo would certainly be a good choice.
Otherwise, it would be much smarter to buy an amp now and start saving for a dac later.
Some amps within your budget (new/used) you could look into:
Original Master, Headfive, MicroAmp 2006, LD2+/++, various DIY amps
