I am playing on the idea of giving my GF my Sennheiser HD598's as she is after good headphones.
 
What would you guys consider a worthwhile step up from the Sennheiser HD598's? 
 
All i really do is play a lot of games (competitively, i.e. BF3) and listen to just about every type of music there is haha, liking techno at the moment though.
 
Price is as minimal as needed to have a noticeable upgrade to the HD598's

Are you currently using an amp?  If so, vminnovations.com has refurbed HD650's for 299 (5% discount code floating online to make it even cheaper).  It's currently out of stock at the moment, but they had some in stock last week and I believe it goes in and out of stock quite regularly, so keep an eye out for that.

Sorry forgot to mention, i'm using an Asus Xonar Essence STX sounds card.
 
Thank you for the recommendation Gary, though im from the UK too so shipping/duty will probably add alot more to that.
