Hi all,

My dad has setup a thing to record acoustic guitar, and I would like to get him a pair of headphones for a present.  I am looking at probably a $100 limit, and here are the following headphones I have in mind so far:

Sennheiser HD-280 PRO

Sony MDR7506

AKG K240

Shure SRH440

Sony MDR-V6

Please let me know if you have any suggestions regarding full size headphones.

Thank you,
John Reimer

You might be able to find a k240S for under $100, new....same drivers as the mkII. They leak very little. At over a foot away I have to really strain to hear anything at all from the back of them. If he's going to also use them for listening to music as well, they might be your best choice. I'd take them over the v6 any day for listening for pleasure. Haven't heard the KRK's. though, but the akg mids are hard to beat.
