DCA Aeon 2 Noire is easily one of the best closed backs on the market. You should be able to find one on the secondary market for around $650 which is bonkers for price to performance.

Used gets you into a lot more choices.

Probably find a minty HE-6 SE (v 1) for like $300 which IMO torches all the new sub $500 stuff mentioned. It's got great nimble fast bass. If you want a closed back bass add 3-4 db via EQ. It likes > 2 wpc @ 50 Ω which you may have.
