I'm completely new to vinyl and have decided to buy myself some gear to play the few unplayed records that I do already have. I've decided on the Technics 1200 MK2 and I've heard good things about the Cambridge 640p amp. Any recommendations on what cartridges would suit these? I already have a pair of Mackie MR5s so I have a fair amount of low end already. Haven't really thought about a budget but i suppose around £80, 100 at a push.
 
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don't have a ton of experience but hopefully I can help. I recently upgraded from an older audio technica cart to a grado black. I love it. It is pretty cheap (around $50 or $60 USD) and was a huge sound upgrade. They also make a couple upgrades from the black, that are color coded (blue, green, an gold), and at least one of them is in your price range as well. Hope this helps a little. Good luck
