Tube amps tend to drive high-Z cans like the HD 650 easier.  I own all three of the amps I mentioned above, and they all sound the same to me.

Does it matter what voltage I set the Valhalla to when ordering?

Pangea HP101, $99, gets the HD6x0 all the way to 120dB peaks as per Audiobot9000. Not that you'd be listening at 100dB anyway.

Yes. Pick whatever voltage range comes out of your wall socket.

Yes unless you want to buy a transformer to step up or step down to your voltage.

-Geek out V2A inf in Balanced mode if seeking for a very solid portable solution which sounds like a desktop ring
