Hello,
it would be great if some of you could post your recommendations
for the following setting. Thank you.
unalterable and already bought:
headphone: hd600
source: (HQ) mp3-files (no audio-/mp3-CDs)
to be bought, searching for recommendations for these (main question is: how do i get decent sound with portable + hd600.(*)).
1. any amplifier
2. any mp3-playing device
3. any possible other additional devices etc.
preferred:
device/devices as silent as possible
price range of the items to be bought: 500-1000 USD
portable mp3-player preferred, but: are there mp3-players
with line-out voltages that are reasonably suitable for
amplifiers for hd600s? (I don't want portable amplifiers.)
Especially: Will any portable mp3-player be able to work
well with meier-audio mk-2? What could be done to get
it to work decently, if no?
goal: good sound quality under given preconditions
(I have no audio system at all at the moment. Therefore I thought
of buying a portable mp3 device for both relatively HQ home listening
and on-the-go.)
Thanks for recommendations.
Matthias
