Hi guys and gals,
After spending so much money on mid-fi phones and not find anything near perfection to me, I've decided to spend no more than $2000 on a pair of headphone/IEM.
MMX300: First pair of headphone, blown away when I first received it. Would like wider sound stage, and it can get really hot around ears after a couple of hours gaming.
K712 PRO: Only bought it 1 week ago, don't like the bass and clamping can be a bit loose due to my weird shaped head(keeps sliding down).
HD600: Don't like the signature.
IE8i: Bass was too heavy for my taste(with comply foam ts500), mid is veiled and what is sound stage? Much more comfortable compared to headphones tho.
Comfort and SQ are equally important to me, so I'm considering HE-560 and HD800(or HD800s) after doing lots of research.
In terms of sound signature, I enjoy wide sound stage, a bit heavy on bass, clear mid and smooth treble.
I'm gonna pair the new headphone with my WA7d for music and MixAmp for gaming.
Any recommendations is appreciated.
