Hey, how's it going guys; as a new member I'm glad I found this forum.
 
 
 
Now I'll be honest; I'm not particularly versed in audiophile terms...but..
 
 
 
I've been using my gym in-ear-buds; the Sennheiser Adidas......680s, now I'm looking to upgrade to some legitimate over the ear headphones.
 
I'm looking at between 2-250 and for the most part I've narrowed my choices down to...
 
V-Moda XS or the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X
 
If anyone knows of a better set in this price range then please point them out. I listen to mainly rock/punk/metal along with lots of EDM.

I think the M50X is great for that kind of music, for a closed headphone that is.  Where will you be using the new headphones?

The V-Moda XS is lightweight, short cable, small form factor and is probably the win for portability.

Probably just during travel; airports, trains etc.

might use em during runs if they're stable enough.
