My question is which iem do you recommend?

I will be using a Sony WM1AM2 for the source.

My music consist of EDM/female vocals, R&B, rock like journey, Phil Collins, Chicago, Eagles, Heart, Adele, Country.

I like great low end, detailed mids, treble smooth to listen to for hours but airy is a bonus, little more forward/intimate

Sony IER Z1
EE Legend X
Fat Freq Maestro SE
Fir Audio Krypton 5

I list the 4 as they are going for about the same rate used except empire ears and Sonys are about 200 to 300 cheaper.

Thanks

I haven't tried the Legend X, but out of these I like the Z1R the most (enough that I own one :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ). FatFreq MSE tend to have too much bass in a way I don't like (e.g not detailed and clear enough). Kr5 like all of the FirAudio stuff is colored sounding (less so than the other frontier lineup models from fir though) so I'd take that into account.

If you can cope with size/weight/fit then Z1R as truelly awesome sound. Best IEM I've owned pure music enjoyment, but not heard your other candidates.
