Hi there,

I previously owned a ATH M50 (left it home) and a Vsonic GR07 (broke it last week, will claim the warranty when I'm back to my home town.)
I desperately need a new IEM that requires no amp to operate brilliantly as carrying an amp wherever I go is not very convenient.
I listened to alternative, rock, indie, electronic and sometimes folk music. I'm not an expert on audio stuff, so please choose one suitable IEM for me. Most of the time, I'm using it with my iPhone. I'm living in the UK.
My budget is 200 pounds. I'd rather spend most my of budget to IEM than spending them partly to IEM and Amps.

Help is much appreciated!
Cheers!

Hi,

You should consider Yamaha EPH-100 and DUNU DN-1000. Most people agree that DN-1000 are superior (also more expensive).

Best Luck!

I suggest the GR07BE/Mk2 or the DUNU DN-1000 too.

Okay, after reading around the forum I'm considering DN-1000, Mk2 and ER-4S (?).
Just not sure which one sound better without amp for my taste of music as I don't understand anything when I'm trying to read the review lol.

Also, I hate the green stuff that grew on my GR07, it is much preferable if it doesn't happen with my next IEM and if the IEM is quite a step-up from GR07.

Any other suggestion?

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

I believe the ER-4S is a neutral/ analytical sounding IEM. Coming from GR07, you may not like it. The cable on the new GR07 is different from the old one. So far, I haven't seen anyone complaining about the green mold(?) on their GR07s.
