you will find tons of freebie players, most of them lousy and intrusive and not at all filling the need. VST Host will give you multi brand EQ whether its Youtube, 8tracks, foobar , various 'tv show' sites, audio files/mp3's, movies, whatever you play on your system

This is how I did it you configure it

- download and Install Virtual Audio Cable from http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
- Set line1 of VAC as Default Device

- download VSTHost from http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm,
- lunch VST Host, just an exe no install

- on VSH Host go to Devices->Select Wave Devices, select Line 1 (Virtual Audio Cable) as Input port and E17 for Output port

- download CS12M 1.67 EQ from this site http://www.terrywest.nl/equalizers.html

- on VST Host select File->New Plugin and select CS12M.dll for EQ plugin

and that’s it, whatever we play on system...E17 will get it EQ’ed, result is awesome, we can control the sound better...
There are many plugins out there that gives lot other options, you can find more plugins on http://www.terrywest.nl/equalizers.html itself

anything you play on your system whether its Youtube, 8tracks.com, foobar, etc... the oputput of will be routed to multiband EQ on VST host...so will be able use EQ to control the music you play...

and earlier post was just copy paste from E17 thread...so you see references to E17...you do not need them to use VST host...

Also I was unable to find how to bring the EQ up.

For this you right click on center block (CS12M.dll) and select Windows->Edit menu item, it will bring the EQ up
