I'm considering NW-A105 after an abysmal experience with Cayin N5ii. Reviews say the EU versions of the Sony have volume cap in place and may not be loud enough for some IEMs, so I'm looking at options abroad.

I found it on Rakuten Japan store for 297 EUR plus shipping and taxes. Any other recommendations on reliable Japanese stores?

That's a good price for the Sony, and free shipping, thanks! They even specify it's the APAC version with no volume cap.

Yeah, the tax is just about luck, whether customs bothers to check it.

Amazon JP also ships to Europe, but you need to create an account.
They list price incl. shipping, customs and tax if I understood correctly

Your other option is using a service such as Buyee, I haven't used it myself but have had it recommended by friends who collect statues and gundam.

It let's you buy through Japanese retailers and YahooJP listings which sometimes have very good deals, keep in mind given you're EU, you're gonna have to always pay customs/tax regardless.
