I do a lot of computer work in coffee shops, and have been happy with my Sony MDR-V6's, but I really want to ditch the cord. I believe I want closed-back, since I want to take advantage of the passive noise cancelling of the over-ear pads to block out as much chatter as possible. Comfort is my primary requirement, followed by sound. A mic to take phone calls would be nice, if possible.

I know that at the sub-$100 price point, my options are limited. But I'd really appreciate any suggestions you have!

Can't seem to find the Matrix2, only the Matrix3 and the Matrix Cinema. Do you mean specifically the Matrix2 vs the others, or are you simply saying those are what you have they've been good to you?

Just that those are what I have, no experience with the others, but I do remember an innerfidelity review where he didn't like the 3s as much. You can find em refurbed or used on ebay for $50.
