recommendations for a low cost beginner amp for hd555

As topic states, I require a rather low cost amp for an hd555 and a beginner one on top of that. I have no experience with amps so please bear with me here =).

first youhave to decide if you want solid state, uses computerchips to amplify, or tube, uses tubes. Give a price point and people can help you out.

canadian $s I would assume? If you can find on one or someone to make one than a PINT is prob te best thing, from what I have read many people think that they are one of the best amps under $300. Also portable.
