Hey to all Head fi'ers,
I have decided to spend a little more behind a good DAC/AMP as I realized my budget was too low for what I wanted.
Below is a recap of what I want it for ;
I am in need of some recommendations for a good quality portable headphones DAC/AMP for $170US or less to be used with a desktop PC running Windows XP and an Ultrasone PRO-550 headphones.
Please note my desktop PC was custom built so I am under the assumption that I have a normal / regular built in sound card.

I have heard about the iBasso D2 Silver Boa that is within’ my budget. Is it any good?


All recommendations will be highly appreciated.

The D2 Boa is a nice unit, but you will receive more responses in the portable amp section. Cheers.

Oooops did not realise there was a portable amp section here. I am a newbie to Head-Fi....lol
