Been a member here for quite awhile. I primarily listen to EDM - mostly House and Dance. I have owned many budget and mid-fi headphones over the years. For reference, the headphones that I really like for this genre are the Beyer DT1990 (balanced pads) through my Emotiva BasX A-100 (jumpered) with some tweaking from the Loki and the Denon AH-D600 through my Cayin C5 (high gain, bass boost). Yes, I am somewhat of a basshead.
So I have upgraditis and a budget of $1000 (hopefully used) and was looking for suggestions. I have been strongly considering an Audeze and was looking at the LCD-2 Classic in particular. Is that a good choice or are there better choices out there in that price range? Thanks for any help you can give.
