Hi,
A friend of mine asked me to start this thread since he doesn't have an account here.
He is looking to upgrade the headphones experience on his PC, currently he is using a 20$ Philips on-ear headphones connected to the built-in sound card of the PC, the sound quality is horrible and the headphones are very uncomfortable (pressing on the ears).
He has a budget of approximately 220 US$ for both upgrading the sound source (DAC/AMP) and the headphones.
He is interested in over-the-ear, closed, comfortable headphones.
He is not listening to high res audio/flac files.
He is listening to music from mp3 files/apple music/sound cloud of the following genres: POP, House, Rock.
In addition he is sometimes using the headphones to watch movies.
It will be great to get some recommendations.
