Can anyone recommend some great earbuds that are not sound isolating?

The shures are interesting (nice looking), but I don't want to isolate a lot of sound. I prefer something that sits in the ear, not into the canal.

Any suggestions?

sub-$100 preferable.

Sony MDR-E888s are great non-isolating earbuds. They are hard to find locally. I got my last pair off Ebay for about $60. They are delicate in construction but have a warm sound (using the foamies) with decent mids and highs. I find them very comfortable.

Sennheiser M400 are cheap and sound good, but they don't stay in my ears as well as the E888s.

Sony MDR 931 are not bad for the price.

I recommend the Sony MDR-E888LP w/ user modification (there are some threads about the mods in the headphone forum). If you can't find info on that, I can try to describe what I did with mine.

I use the Sennheiser MX550 and I believe they will fill (or exceed) your expectations.

It was such a relief to change from the stock iPod headphones to some Sennheisers. The iPod headphones are absolutely god awful.

Foams are a must on earphones - you can use them without but bass will be limited!

they look AMAZING!!
