Hello!

I carry around a Sony CD Walkman D-EJ2000, which has an optical output.

I also use a MacBook which has both optical and USB.

So I'm looking for a DAC that has at least optical input and possibly also USB (if the sound is somehow superior for the Mac).

So what are my options at $150 or less?

The headphonia is highly regarded dac/amp but only has a mini usb and analog in.

Thanks for your replies. I hadn't realized that the field was so slim in the portable DAC stakes. Maybe I'll look more into that Monica kit.

The HR MicroDAC might be close to that price when the new versions come out in a few months if you don't mind the wait.

Nah, It wont be any cheaper unfortunatly.
