Hey,
I am looking to buy a pair of open back headphones. My budget is ~300$. I am coming from 2ch setup (Vivid audio oval), the only headphones I own are the grado sr60e. I listen primarily to classical (I'm a classical guitarist) and jazz. As for the source I will probably use my android phone, but I'm looking to get audioquest dragonfly in near future.

The HiFiMan Sundara can be had for $350 and it's probably the best value under $500. You would want to get an amp with them though.

with amp also, you can get the Sennheiser HD650 or the 660 if you could find them second hand..

Or the Massdrop HD6XX (basically an HD650) for 220, add something like a JDS labs Atom for 100 bucks and presto! Don’t like driving mine from my phone though. Not enough oomph, though volume is OK.
