Well, for my MG Head, I have the following tubes. The 6BQ5's are early Russian E84L/7189s. The 12AX7 is a Mullard, though I don't know which batch exactly.

Are any of these any good? If not, tell me what else to look for/want to sell me

I don't know about the "russians". Mullards tends to be very nice though any particular tube might have problems.

There is a huge amount of info on MG Head tuberolling to be searched for here!

One thing to keep in mind is that some 12AT7 and 12AU7 do very well in the MG Head, even though they are not 12AX7 equivalents.

I recently got the GE 5751 and JJ El84's but I havent tried that combo yet...will do so in the morning.

Have fun tuberolling...you should be able to gather a nice collection for around $50.00

My basic recommendation :-

JJ EL 84 - Power Get the matched pair
GE 5751 - Signal X 1
Telefunken 12AX7 - Signal X 1
Amperex 12AX7 - Signal X1
Raytheon/RCA 5751 - Signal X 1

That should be enough for now...

The only tube I really know that's a good buy is the Sylvania GB 5751

. Boy that mess of an auction let two real 5751 go for dirt cheap.
