Little info, I am 50% gaming, 50% music. I listen to metal, dubstep, classical, rap, country. I also competitive game.
 
 
I will have a xonar DX + schiit magni for dac+amp(havent bought magni yet)
 
 
I had the ATH-AD700S and i loved them for gaming...but that was well it and they set on my table un used since I bought a pair of ultrasone pro 550's which I like, but they are somewhat uncomfortable but i love the soundstage and bass of them.
 
I'm looking for a pair of headphones around 200$ after i sell my pro 550's. I would also look for new or ebay/headfi used ones. 
 
 
Only headphone that's cought my eye is the DT990 600ohm(but i dont know if i could get it for 200 used)

Audio Technica ATH-AD900X open headphones, new $200.
Not as much bass as the DT990s, but the AD900X otherwise should be at least equal or better the DT990 in everything else.
 
I do like my DT990 Premium 600-Ohm plugged into my Yamaha receiver, but the AD900X is only 40-Ohm so could be used with or without amp.
