Recommend me some good music (not boring/repeatative) that isn't depressing

...So I like progressive metal/rock and it's awesome, but it tends to be dark and depressing.  Anyway, any recommendations for music that sounds really good (i.e. is musical not just repeating the same pattern over and over and over with the same couple chords) and is not so dark?
 
I'm open to any genre, even more prog metal.  Just no...*cough*steve wilson*cough* type of depressing stuff plz

Go check out dprp.net reviews but just off the top of my head :-
 
Mostly Autumn, Magnum, Landmarq, It Bites, Phideaux, Galahad, IQ should do you for now.  Check out some online radio sites like progulus, progrockradio (both live365) and arfm!
