Sorry to revive an old thread - from the diagram in the PDF file, it seems to me like the MJ-079 jack does NOT isolate the plug ground from the case because the plug itself connects the two outer poles...
In this thread , GainHead suggested this isolated Kobiconn 3.5 mm jack: Mouser #161-7300
I have the 161-7300 kobiconn on a few amps and it is isolated. It is a nice little jack. Be aware however, once you install it, it can only be removed from the panel by unsoldering the leads, as the nut is on the inside of the panel... The outside part is just a smooth flange. FYI
