Hi everyone,
I've recently made the acquisition of a Schiit Vali and AKG K612 Pro.
Needless to say that now my Shure SE215's sound dead and really dark, congested with no soundstage.

Is there an IEM that would compare and be lively with deep precise vass without being too fatiguing?

I don't really have a budget set as it all depends on the SQ/Price ratio, but if like to keep it under 500$.

The source would be a rockboxed 5th gen iPod 30gb or my LG G3 smartphone until I get a Fiio X5 2nd gen.

Thanks guys it's really appreciated as this is my first foray into high $$$ IEMs.

If this is a positive experience I'll be saving for some JH Audio CIEMs :)

For an IEM the Sennheiser IE80 has a massive soundstage. It also has a strong thumping bass, with good extension. The mids are recessed, maybe too much for your liking, but the treble is spot on perfect for me i.e., enough sparkle without being fatiguing. Have a look at the tape mod  if you pick the IE80 and find the bass excessive with the bass dial turned down.

Edit: also take note to look at the tips, as none of the provided tips with the IE80 provided me with a satisfactory fit.
