I own the iFP-390T and will likely buy another, larger capacity player. My mom's birthday is just around the corner and we've decided to get her an mp3 player as well!

She goes on walks often.. about 3 hours at a time. Can anyone recommend a nice small, light MP3 player that holds "enough" music and also has a relatively large display or text display?

Thanks!

I got my girlfriend the iriver ifp 190t for Xmas she loves it. She does alot of ice-skating with it and has had no problems at all it holds about 8 hours of music. It was under 200.00.
www.mp3mall.net has a bunch of different options to go with. Hope this helps some.

Thinkin' Nitrus, but the text isn't that large. For simple display nothing beats the iPod. Pick up an older refurb unit.

I do want to get her a NEW product, not a refurbed one.

Apart from easy display, it would also be important that it is EASY to use. She is not the best when it comes to electronics...

I think the Nitrus may be the way to go as Blessingx said earlier. Look over at Dap Review for some really good comparisons and pics. Also, check out the Creative Muvo 2. Though I don't see any pics of that one on Austonia's site.

Sounds like an iPod mini would be perfect for your situation.

Ipod mini sounds like an idea. However, a 15gig for $50 more would be a good choice. While it is not as small as the mini, it certainly considered "small".
