First off, please let me know if my requirements are too broad, and you think i need to make more decisions to narrow down what I want out of the amp & DAC I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a USB amp & DAC combo unit to sit on my desk and plug into my laptop via USB that i play 320k mp3s & stream pandora off of. I listen to electronic music (mostly dubstep, then drum & bass, then techno), some metal, inde rock, and hip hop. I have a pair of Shure SE535s that I'll be using exclusively with this.
I don't care to mess around with controls/features/EQs. The simpler the better.
I wont ever use anything other than usb as an audio input, and output will always be a single 3.5mm to the Shure SE535s, which means I'm willing to compromise features to focus on sound quality.
I'd like to stay under $250usd, but I'm more concerned with getting a good balance of quality compared to cost. I'd like some help understanding what my different options are at different price points.
