I use the Energizer AAA rechargeable batteries in my Supermacro. I bought them at Wal*mart for a very reasonable price. If I recall correctly, I paid about $9 for four batteries mAh 850 AAA batteries.

I too, bought my energizers at wal mart but when Odd job had ray o vac's of various sizes on sale, I stocked up.
I bought 4 9v's even though back then I didn't need them and 8 AAA's.
I also bought the ray o vac one hr charger.
I have enough AA's from ages ago.
