Paid $1200 for all of the following..
Listened to them and they sounded amazing..
I'm new to the speaker thing and always wanted to build a system..
All he said was I need to buy a decent sub to add to the system..
Anyone know how good the following components are?

Preamp: Dynaco PAS-3 series II

You're better off searching for reviews and comparisons elsewhere on each of those.  Google will help you get there, I can't remember any sites that I could otherwise recommend.
