would a Yamaha 770W 7.1-Ch. Quad-Field Cinema DSP; Dolby Digital EX, Pro Logic II/IIx, DTS 96/24; DVD-Audio/SACD support; Pure Direct sounds much better than a headphone amp - HeadRoom Micro DAC

which one sounds better when plug into computer for mp3 ?
1) HeadRoom Micro DAC
2) Yamaha 770W receiver

output is HD650 headphone

thanks

do you mean the MicroAmp? Because the MicroDAC shouldn't be used as a headphone amp - it is an external digital to analog converter, and the mini out is an analog line out with no volume adjustment. if you got a MicroDAC, you could always hook that into the line in of your receiver and probably improve your speaker setup while you are at it!
