receiver help

maybe not the right forum but. i have the denon pma 1315r, using the B&W 602 s3 speakers. i am very pleased. however my friend is offering to swap it for his harman kardon avr 255, is this a good deal? i see the pma 1315r has stronger output and is stereo whereas the harmon is 7.1 surround system. what is the difference in sound quality?
