I have the following problem. When I play a CD and my receiver is OFF, I get a buzzing sound at certain high frequencies (guitars mainly, some piano notes). As soon as I turn the receiver ON, the buzzing disapears. I plug my Grado SR60 straight into my CD player's headphone jack. Any one knows what might cause this?
Also, if I unplug the CD player from the receiver, there is no problem. The interconnects look in good condition. Receiver is an old JVC (1985?). Tried plugging the CD into AUX instead of CD in the receiver, didn't help.
Yeah, I know, I should leave my receiver on all the time...
Thanks,
