Hie there,

Are the stock Grado cables satisfactory enough (the UHPLC cables that come in the box) or is recabling a good option (i.e. produce significant enough improvement) for the MS-1s?

How risky is it to recable? Would I be at a chance of damaging anything that gives an impact to the sound?

recabling is pretty easy but i think stock cable is good enough.

Hmm, is it? Someone out there told me that the stock cable is crap. Another person told me that recabling doesn't improve it much

Well improvements are probbaly just a matter of debate. As for myself, I can't imagine that the difference in a new cable on the MS1s would be drastic enough to warrant a change. The grado cable seems pretty goodso as long as it works and everythign I'd keep it. Now if you really like ot tinker and do DIY stuff then by all means go for it and have some fun (they are your headphones afterall). But overall the stock cable doesn't appear bad to me.

I'm going to upgrade soon anyway, doubt I will bother with these cables. After all MS-1s aren't that expensive to actually hear sonic improvements by recabling (I assume?)
