Has anybody done this? I'm not sure that there's a point, or if it's worth the effort, or even plausible, but I figure that if I'm going to be going semi-all-out on my portable rig in a little while, I might as well inquire. I've seen recabled E2s, but I was wondering more along the lines of SE530s and such. It's been done with Westones, UEs, Etys, and the like, but I've not seen any work done with Shure's offerings (though this may be due to the way in which the wires are designed, compared to the other companies' IEMs).

I'm just thinking aloud, I suppose.
