Has anyone tried to recable Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 or 900? I use these headphones for movies and games because of the large sound-stage, but I noticed that the stock cable is very cheap. My question would be what cable to use that would compliment an expansive sound-stage. Also has anyone tried/seen any other mods for these headphones besides adding a mic.

I have never recabled those, but I think a good quality copper cable would be nice since the phones are already warm sounding.
