I want to recable my HD25-1's with a custom cable My plan is to build a similar cable to stock one (so it comes out from one side only) My plan so far is to get Cardas HPSC plugs and then this cable

plan to use the core for signal and shield for ground (Any problem with that?) And then use techflex to keep the two wire together and terminate with a localy made gold plated plug (dont remeber the name but I prefer them over Nutirck plugs) 
 
Im specifcly looking for adivce regarding the wire and what you think about it as well as the build in general, its gonna be for portable use.

I'm not much help, but that wire looks like it will be stiff and microphonic.  I've ran across wires with similar jackets and that's what they were like.  Good luck!

Thanks. Im planning to start out by useing local wire (NTE) and tech flex thats made by my local store and see how it works out. I will keep this updated once I put it all togethere.
