A common chipset ... and in this ASUS B50 Cheapo Notebook, it actually sounds nice and has more than anough power to drive the 250 ohm DT880s. I have the D10 on USB on the side here, but I must say, the onboard sound is not that far away, if I use Trance .... which kind of astonishes me. It seems onboard solutions got quite far.... There seems to be hiss ... not sure yet. It is not as good as the D10, but should I once forget to take the D10 along - I'm not going to get depressive. I now I have to go and check what it does with classical music.
