How exactly do you install the onboard audio card? Is it with the recovery CD that comes with the PC? Coz I think I need to re-install everything with that cd, including re-formatting everything first. I need to use the onboard audio for using my mic, which is a mini instead of a 1/4 or etc. I'm using the emu1212m btw.

Can I have the emu software and the onboard audio both installed, and use them simultaneously (not both at the same time)?

About running them simultaneously I'm not sure. Installing should be straight forward; Vista might even be able to plug and play it, if not, make sure you got onboardaudio activated in your BIOS and install the drivers either from your CD or downloaded by your motherboard brand site.
